To borrow a phrase from an old Jim Reeves song (ok so
I am dating myself a bit... but I love this song even though I am not a big country music
fan).......
Welcome to my world; won't you come on in?
Miracles, I guess, still happen now and then.
Step into my heart, leave your cares behind;
Welcome to my world built with you in mind.
Knock and the door will open;
Seek and you will find.
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this world of mine.
I'll be waiting here with my arms unfurled,
Waiting just for you; welcome to my world.
Well I can't believe that I have finally gotten around to starting a webpage. After three years of searching, viewing and admiring pages of other people I decided to give it a shot. Well here goes...
Bio..
I have lived in various areas of the Southeast. My childhood was different than most I would guess (unless you were a military brat). My Dad was involved in Textile Management which required relocating to Georgia, Alabama (where I was born), Mississippi, and Tennessee. My parents always tried to make each transition as smooth as possible.
I have been married for almost 12 years to my husband - Jon. We have three birds (we must be nuts) Kiwi - Senegal Parrot, Colby - Cinnamon/Pied Cockatiel, and the newest addition Keebler - Green Rump Parrotlet. I must admit since we have them our home hasn't been the same since.
By day I am an Administrative Assistant for a Japanese Automobile Corporation. I have been with the company for 7 years now. I can say that I honestly love my job. Who wouldn't working with 22 guys. No two days are the same and each guy has their own personality. By night I too am an Internet Junkie. Three years ago I purchased my first computer P75 (what was that?). Jon can't believe that I am still at it. This is the first hobby that I have had that has lasted for more than a few months. I guess he looks at it this way.. At least it keep me out of his hair.....or should I have said the lack of it - :) During this time I have met some nice and very memorable people and you know who you are.
I guess you can say that I had a great teacher my Mother. In the future I will have a page dedicated to cooking and recipes. Everyone at work is always asking for recipes so hopefully this will be a benefit for everyone that shares the same interest.
Well I guess I have finally gotten my feet somewhat wet now, I will continue to try and make this interesting and perhaps even unique.
